Sex in the City (cert 15)

 

So the team are back for another bash at the HBO hit series, but this time on the big screen.
We start with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr Big (Chris Noth) hunting for a new place to live... And of course, it's the penthouse in a block that Carrie falls in love with, and its very expensive, but that's not a problem for Big:

We then catch up with the other girls... Charlotte is happily married to Harry and loving looking after her adopted daughter. Miranda is not so happy, she is snowed under with work and the relationship with Steve is under lots of pressure. And Samantha is in LA with her star boyfriend Smith Jerrod... But is missing something!
She still manages to make it to NYC regularly to meet the girls though and Carrie has some big news:

The film takes us through Carrie's plans for finally taking the plunge and getting married to Mr Big... But will it be one step too far for there perfect relationship?
If you are a fan of Sex and the City, then this is probably fine... But for anyone else, it is just an extended TV episode with a bit more budget and a bigger camera.
Only a few of the jokes are actually funny and the girls are looking more plastic than ever.
It is very rude in places... Maybe just as crude as some of the childish Super Bads and Forgetting Sarah Marshalls! Just dressed up as classy!
Sarah Jessica Parker is beginning to look like something out of punch and judy!
